update... 2 months later
gosh has it really been that long since i last posted an entry. oh my those two months have gone by so fast! where to start? on april 17 we celebrated emily's first birthday with close friends and family. she had a great time and looked so stinkin' cute in her handmade ladybug dress. we celebrated with cake and ice cream as well as a few presents. since then we have just been kind of trying to get through the end of school, dance recitals and holiday weekends. emily is growing up so fast! she is walking everywhere. really once she started walking there was no stopping her. she loves to eat anything we re eating and isn't afraid to try anything. she speaks quite a few words such as mama, dada, mo (more), bah (ball) and just recently added papa and yis (yes) to her list. it's quite funny when one of us will tell her no and she will come back with a yiiis (yes). she thinks it's funny and so do we at the moment. i have a feeling that will change as she gets older. i can't believe she will be 14 months old this month. she is a sweet soul who loves to be held, on her terms of course, and loves her big sister so much. it's cute to watch her trot after ashley the way she does trying to do everything that ashley does without any hesitation for that matter. today i caught her holding something and drawing just like ashley was. it's like she has the mindset, if ashley can do it so can i. i love that she loves her big sister so much but i worry that it's going to make her a "big" kid sooner than i want my baby to be one. that's about all for now.
